TOMS for Target…PLUS a Giveaway!

I’m not sure how old The Tall Blonde was when she purchased her first pair of TOMS, but I know for sure we’ve seen many a pair kicking around this house! In fact, it was in 2012 when I first wrote about TOMS‘ founder Blake Mycoskie…and his impressive organization!

TOMS operates on a One for One® giving model…where every purchase helps a person in need. It started with the shoes…buy a pair, and the company gives a pair away…then it moved on to sunglasses, where the purchase of a pair of glasses provides much-needed medicines and surgeries for those suffering loss of eye sight…and now, it’s expanded even more!

When my daughter bought her first pair…they felt different to her. She knew she was helping a child in another country just by wearing a trendy pair of shoes…and it empowered her. The TOMS sticker, bright and prominent on the front of her computer, has travelled with her to many countries…places where she has seen with her own eyes how lucky she is. Bones now wears TOMS as well…and the TOMS bag, that comes in the box of shoes, hangs proudly next to all of her school awards and horse show ribbons.

This Sunday, November 16th, Target will be joining in this fabulous campaign as they launch, for a limited time, their TOMS for Target collection! Target’s product line will include more than 50 items in apparel, accessories, shoes and home decor. With each item purchased, Target is donating shoes, meals or a blanket to those in need…in partnership with TOMS and North American based charities including the Canadian Red Cross and Food Banks Canada.

This holiday season, when you purchase from the TOMS for Target collection…you’ll not only be purchasing a fabulous gift item for a loved one, but you’ll also be helping someone in need…right here at home!

  2. I am a fan of these kinds of companies for sure!

    TOMS is doing something right. They have products that are worthy of the dollars kids (and parents!) spend on them, but they are also doing some pretty amazing things from a social consciousness standpoint.

    I LOVE that!

    I *will* be buying several of these products. The beanie hats and convertible mittens are very cute and functional!

  3. Love my Toms! Love that I’m helping someone or I should say lots as both my daughter and I own Toms. My daughter has at least 10 pairs and I have a few ! Most comfortable shoe I own! Can you say we love our Toms!

  4. I didn’t know anything about this company until I read your blog, Colleen. I didn’t realize the contributions they make to society. I think that is fantastic!! I would love a pair of toms and I really like the poncho. The kids tees are pretty cool too.

  5. i love the throw and the women’s grey zip hoodie – of course I’m a huge fan of the shoes judging by my closet 🙂 – and the concept of giving back a pair! The blanket idea is great too

  21. So great to see TOMS & Target team up on this wonderful campaign. It certainly helps with Christmas ideas when you know that the gift that you purchase is also helping someone in need. I love all of the line, but I particularly like that cream poncho. 🙂

  24. This is great, I love this company and it’s awesome that they’re partnering with Target! I really try to buy from ethical companies that support fair trade but TOMS goes even further than that! I’d like to get a grey pair probably.

  25. We are enormous fans of Toms at my house! I have 4 pairs, and I’ve gotten them for F in the spring/summer since they’re easy for him to get his little feet into. As it were, I’m writing a blog post for YMC on the many brands that we can shop that give back to our neighbours near and far. 🙂

  40. I love Toms (and Target)! I would buy my bestie a hoodie because she has two kids and limited funds and could use something new for herself!

  41. It’s pretty great when fashion can extend to helping others – my 12 year old daughter loves Toms, so she is pretty excited about the Toms line at Target. But I’ve got to say, I have my eye on that fringe throw – gorgeous, and you can never have too many throws in the winter!

  75. We love TOMS! My 3 year old has been wearing hers and they’re probably too small but they’re her favorites. I went on the Target + TOMS site and I love the arrow t-shirt for women and the 3 bracelet set.
