As my family and I stepped up to the “Wall of Love” in Montmartre, Paris, I got to thinking about the power of love, art, and the fact that I was standing in front of this beautiful piece with my favourite people!
The Wall of Love was created in 2000 by Fédéric Baron and Claire Kito. It’s made up of 612 tiles and features “I love you” written 311 times in 250 different languages. Situated in a quaint, pretty park, it’s rather special to sit back and watch people find their “love language” on the wall, then pose for a photo with someone they care about. This little park, with this fabulous wall, is truly a special place.
We live in a world (especially with social media) where the focus is often on negativity, judgement and criticism. To counterbalance all the bad stuff, I believe that spreading kindness and telling the people in your life how special they are is so important! As the creator behind the “Things We Love About You” poster, I love being part of expressing genuine admiration and gratitude to those who make a different in your life… and I love the impact it has on both the person receiving and the person giving it. To see all of things that people love about you printed out, just for you…it’s a pretty spectacular feeling!
While the posters I make are typically given for milestone birthdays and anniversaries, we really should go out of our way to tell the people in our lives EVERY DAY how important they are. Here’s just 5 reasons to tell a loved one how special they are:

Through my artwork I have seen firsthand the power of expressing genuine admiration and appreciation. By nurturing relationships, boosting self-esteem, spreading positivity, inspiring growth, and cultivating gratitude, we can cause a ripple effect of love that has the power to create a more compassionate world for us all.
So get out there…tell your friends you love them! Tell them A LOT! Make it weird as the meme says to do! You just never know who’s having a rough day and could use the extra bit of love.
